Discover Your Possibilities (DYP): Operates a comprehensive education and training center for young people who are blind or visually impaired, supporting them on their path toward independence and employment.

Go Ahead: Provides access to education for disadvantaged communities in rural areas, helping to create long-term opportunities for children and young people.

Donations are tax-deductible in Germany.

Ms. Veronika Geyer (Ulm) has been actively involved in these initiatives for over ten years and is responsible for coordinating and supporting the projects on the ground in Cambodia.

The DYP Learning Centre

The DYP Learning Centre supports young people who are blind or visually impaired in acquiring essential educational and life skills. Its goal is to prepare them for independent living and meaningful participation in the workforce.

Through practical training, dedicated social support, and individual guidance, DYP strengthens each student’s confidence, independence, and future prospects.

DYP Semi-Independent Living Project 

The DYP Semi-Independent Living Project supports young people who are blind or visually impaired in taking the final steps toward independent living.

Participants live in small shared apartments, take responsibility for their daily lives, and gain hands-on work experience in vocational areas such as the bakery and café. Through this combination of practical training and structured support, they are carefully prepared for financial, social, and personal independence.

Go Ahead

in Cambodia is a non-profit organisation that has been creating opportunities for disadvantaged communities in rural areas through education since 2013.

Its core focus lies in English and IT education, as well as early childhood development, with the aim of improving access to further training, employment, and social participation. Complementary programmes—including preschools, libraries, scholarships, and direct community support—help create lasting impact for children, families, and entire communities.

Go Ahead’s Nurseries/Pre-schools

provide a vital foundation for early childhood development in disadvantaged rural communities.

Go Ahead currently operates eight of its own centres, serving 182 children, and supports six community-based facilities reaching an additional 125 children.

Through close collaboration with local communities, parents, and teachers, essential early skills are nurtured and children are thoughtfully prepared for a successful transition into primary school and everyday learning.
